Dear All,
I can’t expose my identity here since it can be a threat to my life and family. What I’m going to explain you is something which I suspect is another emerging scam like “Seagull Software” in Kandy.
Following are the Company details.
According to the advertisement they have put on 16th May 2010 Sunday Observer.
The Company name is Sunlanka Software Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, and it says its a fast growing UK based IT company.
Address is No 47, King Street, Harcourts Building, Kandy.

I was a victim of “Seagull Software” and I know how it feels after you get to know that you were scammed. I send this to you to avoid all Sri Lankans to be felt like this again.
Following are the points I want to emphasis on my assumption that this is another scam. It is up to you to decide whether you believe them or not. But I explain them here since I think it is my duty to prevent you all by losing your hardly earned money.
POINT 1:
They say that they are a BPO company and a fast growing UK based IT company. But they don’t have set up a website having the name of the company in the domain name or in the website content as Sunlanka Software Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. If they are truly a BPO company, setting up a website is the first thing they will do.
POINT2:
Their email address is from yahoo, the popular free email service provider. If they are doing BPO actually, they will provide an official email address from their Sri Lankan company or their so called “Fast growing UK based company”. If you check actual BPO companies around the world mostly from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, you will see this.
POINT3:
Have you ever seen an advertisement in a Sri Lankan newspaper or website, posted by an actual BPO company asking you to pay to join? What the real companies do is, they provide you a good training and recruit to the company. They also maintain a closer look at your work all the time. If the notice any issue, they will let you know it quickly.
But this company asking you to pay Rs. 14,500/= join and say that they will pay Rs. 6,500/= for each month for typing or another work. This is exactly what happened with “Seagull Software”. They never checked our work and charged a same amount of money.
POINT4:
This is headed by an Indian like “Seagull Software”. If an Indian heads a real BPO company he will be interested in putting a company in India since he can find much cheaper labor compared to Sri Lanka since India does more than 90% worlds BPO work.
I will try my best to inform this to a higher official about this and ask to taken an action. It would be great if you can do the same if you know someone higher in the Police. I know that many people are already paying money for this scam.
If we do something we can prevent this of being another major scam like Seagull and Sakwithi. If you believe in the points I mentioned and think that worth forwarding this email and post in your Facebook,Twitter or any other social media or your website, blog, please do so. At least we can prevent some people of getting lost their hardly earned money.
